The St. Maarten Animal Welfare Foundation was chartered in 1992 to address the problem of homeless and neglected animals on the island. Since its inception, its dedicated volunteers have vastly improved the lot of the St. Maarten’s animals through a wide range of humane activities that have galvanized the island’s residents toward more responsible pet ownership.
